Bildau & Bussmann NZ is the New Zealand distributor for Bildau & Bussmann GmbH, a German-headquartered specialist in high-performance timber and timber-aluminium windows and doors founded in Berlin in 1987. The company headquarters remains in Berlin, while joinery supplied to New Zealand is manufactured by Bildau & Bussmann Polska Sp. z o.o. at its production operation in Płock, Poland. The New Zealand relationship has operated since 2017, bringing made-to-order European joinery to residential and architectural projects nationwide.
Daniel Friedrich leads Bildau & Bussmann NZ. As an architectural designer and master carpenter, Daniel combines design understanding with practical construction knowledge. He works with architects, builders and homeowners to develop window and door specifications, coordinate glazing, profiles, finishes and opening types, and support projects from early design decisions through to delivery.
The Bildau & Bussmann range includes timber and aluminium-clad timber profiles, tilt & turn and fixed windows, entrance and balcony doors, lift & slide, tilt-slide, bifold and pivot door systems. This combination of German design heritage, specialist European production and local New Zealand project knowledge is particularly suited to bespoke homes and projects with demanding energy, comfort or architectural requirements.
